Our Teacher:
Mrs. Himes holds a Master’s Degree in Music Education and studied Voice as her major instrument on both the undergraduate and the graduate levels. Her career has included major roles in L’il Abner, The Sound Of Music, Oliver!, The Mikado, Camelot, La Traviata, Cosi Fan Tutti, The Music Man, Susannah, Trial By Jury, the Lord Nelson Mass, and The Messiah. She currently serves as a soprano vocal soloist for the Beaverton First United Methodist Church where she is the music director and conducts three choirs and oversees several small ensembles, both instrumental and vocal.
Lessons Include:
Voice lessons with Mrs. Himes will include posture, breath control, focus and placement of the voice, music reading, ear training, sight reading, and performance techniques for classical, musical comedy, and popular styles.
Lesson Details:
For students 13yrs. through adult. 30 minutes, once per week. $20.00 per lesson plus books and music, by the month in advance. Payment is due at the first lesson of the month. Practicing is required!!
