Kindermusik Class Descriptions

Kindermusik Village: 45 minutes, ages 4 months thru 18 months with their parents. This class consists of two, 8 week units in a 16 week semester. A chance to share exciting experiences with your baby and with other parents and babies, this class provides a delightful way of helping your child begin to explore music and the world. Home materials include a CD of all the songs, a literature book, art posters, and a binder for the activity cards distributed each week.

Kindermusik Our Time: 45 minutes, ages 18 months to 3 years with their parents. A non-sequential, four-semester program. Designed to be a special time for you to share with your child, this class allows the student to begin to explore the world of music on her own with her trusted caregiver only a few steps away, offering moral support and guidance. Home materials include 2 CDs, an instrument, home activity book, and a literature book.

Kindermusik Imagine That! 45 minutes, ages 31/2 through 5 years. Students and teacher share the first 30 minutes. Parents and siblings join the class for the last 15 minutes. Imagine That! features a remarkable blend of music, singing, movement, literature, and pretend play which creates an inspiring classroom experience. Your child will play an active and expressive role during every class, by reflecting, comparing, making choices, expressing opinions, solving problems, singing, acting, and creatively moving. Home materials include two CDs, an instrument, 2 literature books, and a family activity book.

Kindermusik for the Young Child: 60 minutes, ages 41/2 through 7 years. Parents join the class for the last 15 minutes. This four semester, sequential program offers children a thorough foundation for future musical involvement and study. Children who have not had the first 2 semesters must begin in semester one. Students who complete all four semesters will own and be able to play a glockenspiel, an Appalachian dulcimer, and a recorder. Home materials for this class include a CD, a carry bag, a glockenspiel, dulcimer, or recorder, depending on the semester, and all materials for the crafts and homework featured with each lesson.
